IELTS vs TOEFL vs PTE: which test should you take?

All three tests are widely accepted, so the right choice usually comes down to your strengths, the test-day format, and how quickly you need results.

PTE and TOEFL are fully computer-based with fast turnaround; IELTS offers both paper and computer formats and a face-to-face speaking section some students prefer.

Check your target universities' minimum scores first, then take a free practice test of each to see which format suits you before booking.
